Connecting Abroad
Attendees at the Shanghai Reception pose with the Portsmouth Abbey Banner following an informative and enjoyable evening. March has brought alumni, students, parents and prospective families together in several countries this month. Receptions in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing, China as well as Seoul, South Korea are always special for Portsmouth Abbey School. This year, Head of School Matt Walter, Dean of Students Paula Walter and Assistant Head of School for Development and Alumni Relations Stephanie Dwyer spent time getting to know more families including those in Chongqing, China. Visits to several businesses and organizations related to international student recruitment were also on the agenda. In Italy, a few adventurous Ravens and faculty members were able to experience the cultural and intellectual richness of several cities, expanding their knowledge of art, history and even pizza through a School travel program during the March break. Students and faculty on the Italy trip visited Rome, Florence and Venice. Here, they are pictured in front of St. Peter's Basilica in The Vatican. |
